darzen-paws
Darzen Paws

A price quoted from memory for a dog you last saw in March, handling notes in your head, a vaccination card shown to you in a doorway, and three pets in one house all due at different times. Darzen Paws builds the price from the pet's own size and coat, keeps the notes, records and groom interval on the pet rather than the address, and lays the day out in stop order.

What's inside

The App. Today: the next stop with a live countdown, the day's run underneath, and one list of what needs a decision, from a lapsed record to a visit with no outcome. The run: the stops in order with the travel minutes you typed between them, and the door-to-door total. No maps, and nothing is looked up online. Pets: species, breed, size, coat, usual service and add-ons, so the groom price is worked out for you, with temperament, handling notes, who else may collect them, the vet on file and the next groom date. Quotes: drag each from Draft to Accepted with the price per hour on the card, and print a one-page report card for any visit. Money: price less groomer pay less supplies over the hours you actually worked, per visit, per owner and per kind of work. Works offline after you sign in once, which is the point in a van with no signal, on up to two devices. Gate codes, key notes and records stay in your browser, never on our servers.

Google Sheets. The same tool as a workbook: Dashboard, Owners, Pets, Quote Calculator, Schedule, Visits, Report Card, Money and Groomers. Yellow cells are where you type; the Quote Calculator writes out every step of the price with formulas. Your own copy in your Google Drive. Works in Excel 2010 or later on Windows and Mac, and in Excel for the web. No macros.

A record of what you type, not veterinary advice

You write down the record an owner showed you and the date, and you set how many months it counts as valid. Paws then flags one of your own records that has run out before a booked visit. It names no vaccine, sets no schedule, states no requirement and gives no veterinary advice. The vet on file is a name and a number you type in, not a verified contact and not anyone Paws can reach. Profit per hour is a planning estimate from your own figures, not financial advice, and Paws takes no payments.

How you get it

Right after checkout we email you a Darzen username and password.
