Darzen Job Search CRM product guide: the application pipeline board with jobs by stage

How to Track Job Applications Without Losing Any

Product guide

Every application, interview and follow-up in one place.

A job search falls apart in the gaps: the role you applied for three weeks ago and never chased, the recruiter whose name you half remember, the interview you prepared for at midnight. This tracker closes those gaps — it opens on what is due today, and it tells you which sources are actually getting you replies.

  • 3 editions: app, Google Sheets, Excel
  • $19 once, no subscription
  • About 10 minutes to set up
  • Works offline
  • Nothing leaves your browser

What a job application tracker has to do

A list of companies is not a tracker. Four things turn it into one:

01

Tells you what to do today

The next interview with a countdown, the follow-ups that are due, and how close you are to this week's target — before you open anything else.

02

Keeps every stage visible

Each job is a card you drag from applied to interview to offer, so nothing sits in limbo because you forgot which stage it reached.

03

Remembers who you spoke to

Recruiters, referrals and hiring managers with the last contact and the next time to reach out, so a warm lead does not go cold.

04

Shows which sources actually work

Your funnel from applied to offer, replies by source and applications per week — so you spend your hours where they return something.

Setting it up

One purchase gives you all three editions, so pick the one that suits how you work. You can use more than one; they do not sync with each other.

The app

Any modern browser. No install.

  1. Check your email for the Darzen username and password we send right after checkout.
  2. Sign in at account.darzenstore.com and open Darzen Job Search CRM.
  3. Download the app and open it in your browser.
  4. Sign in once. After that it works offline, on up to two devices.

Google Sheets

A free Google account.

  1. Sign in to your Darzen account and open the Google Sheets edition.
  2. Choose Make a copy. Your copy lands in your own Google Drive.
  3. Rename it if you like, then start on the first tab.

Excel

Excel 2010 or later, Mac or Windows, or Excel for the web. No macros.

  1. Sign in to your Darzen account and download the Excel workbook.
  2. You get two files: a blank copy, and an example copy already filled in.
  3. Open the example first to see how it behaves, then work in the blank one.

How to use it, screen by screen

The walkthrough follows the app; the Google Sheets and Excel editions carry the same tabs in the same order.

Open on Today

The first screen is the only one that matters most mornings: the next interview with a countdown, every follow-up that has come due, and your progress against this week's application goal. Clear it and you are done.

Move each job along the board

Every job is a card carrying the company, role, salary range, work type and the next step. Drag it to a new stage, or use the next-step button and let the card tell you what that step is.

Log interviews before and after

Record who you are meeting, where and when. Write prep notes beforehand and how it went afterwards, in the same place. Export the lot to your calendar in one file so the times land where you will see them.

Keep the people, not just the jobs

Recruiters, referrals and hiring managers each carry their last contact date and the next time to reach out. Most offers come through a person, and this is the part a spreadsheet of company names loses.

Read the funnel and change tactics

Applied to reply to interview to offer, which sources get replies, applications per week against your goal, and why jobs closed. If one job board is returning nothing, this is where you find out before another month goes into it.

Try it right here

Before you buy, use the real thing. The demo is the app itself with a sample search loaded — open it and move a card.

Questions people ask first

Does it apply to jobs for me?

No. It tracks what you have done and what is due next. Nothing is submitted anywhere on your behalf.

Is there a subscription?

No. It is one purchase of $19, and updates are free.

How do I get the files after I buy?

Right after checkout we email you a Darzen username and password. Sign in to your Darzen account to download the app and the Excel files, and to make your copy of the Google Sheets edition.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. The app works on up to two devices, and offline after the first sign-in.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Applications export to CSV and interviews export to a calendar file.

Where is my data stored?

In your own browser, or in your own Google Drive for the Sheets edition. It never reaches our servers.

Stop losing track of a search you are already running

One purchase, three editions, no subscription. If the part you keep losing is the follow-up, start here.
